Preference Employment Solutions is North Dakota’s newest healthcare staffing company looking to support healthcare organizations and professionals across North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. We are currently seeking to fill a Director of Nursing (DON) position for a very well respected rural skilled nursing facility southwest of Fargo, ND. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and amazing benefits.


Qualifications:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program leading to licensure as a RN
  • Must hold good standing RN licensure
  • 2+ years of RN management experience 
  • Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility is required

Responsibilities Include but not Limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring quality nursing care and services by developing, leading and managing an efficient and caring team of licensed nurses, nursing assistants and other SNF personnel 
  • Ensure the quality of nursing care remains in accordance with standards, policies and procedures and always remains in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements
  • Administer nursing care to all residents
  • Diagnose and establish care plans for all residents
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ symptoms and/or behavior
  • Collaborate with RN’s, Physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care
  • Educate residents about health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Maintain accurate resident medical records
  • Provide advice and emotional support to residents and their family members

  • Must have a strong personality with the ability to work with many different types of personalities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building abilities
  • Strong organization skills including the ability to work independently
  • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent time management skills in a changing environment 
  • Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress

Compensation:

  • Competitive compensation starting around $70,000
